Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress — Refurbishment
Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress is temporarily closed for refurbishment beginning July 6, 2026, to add a new introductory scene featuring an animatronic Walt Disney. Reopening is expected sometime in 2027; no specific date has been confirmed.
Thursday at Magic Kingdom, with Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress — Refurbishment today. Expect moderate crowds under mostly sunny with a chance of afternoon thunderstorms. Corrected upward -- yesterday's actual (6) beat the prediction (4) on a non-party night, showing the prior Magic Kingdom trim (applied after an MNSSHP-night overprediction) had been over-applied to regular weekdays.
