Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress is temporarily closed for refurbishment beginning July 6, 2026, to add a new introductory scene featuring an animatronic Walt Disney. Reopening is expected sometime in 2027; no specific date has been confirmed.
Mickey's Magical Friendship Faire — Temporary Closure
Mickey's Magical Friendship Faire on the Cinderella Castle stage is closed July 7–14, 2026, and is scheduled to resume July 15 with performances at 10:00 AM, 11:10 AM, and 12:30 PM.
Extended Evening Hours at Magic Kingdom
After HoursComplimentary late-night park access for guests staying at Disney Deluxe and Deluxe Villa Resorts (plus a few other select hotels), running weekly on Wednesday nights (July 8 ran 11:00 PM–1:00 AM; other nights run 10:00 PM–midnight). A reduced slate of attractions — Space Mountain, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, TRON Lightcycle / Run, Big Thunder Mountain, Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, and others — stays open two extra hours. Not a separately ticketed event. The August 26 and September 2 Wednesday slots move to Disney's Animal Kingdom instead (see separate entry).
